In early 2019, Dr. Bethany Prudner joined WashU’s Department of Medicine as an instructor in the Division of Oncology.

Since joining WashU in 2016, Dr. Prudner has been able to concentrate her postdoctoral training and specialize her skillset in sarcoma research through training with Dr. Brian Van Tine in the concentration of metabolic alterations within subsets of sarcoma.

Her research focuses on utilizing fundamental metabolic alterations within cohorts of this disease to answer translational questions regarding the incidence and treatment of sarcoma.

She trained with a renowned sarcoma surgeon during her first postdoctoral fellowship at The Ohio State University, and received her PhD from Kent State University in 2013.
