Monet Davis

Monet Davis, is from St. Louis and studies at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She is a rising junior in her undergraduate studies as a Psychology student with an emphasis in neuroscience.
Monet’s experience with research began with the MOLSAMP program at WashU where she is interested in using functional neural imaging and other methods to measure brain activity in individuals with psychological disorders. She works with a group of students under Dr. Todd Braver in the Cognitive Control and Psychopathology Lab (CCP Lab). Her research duties include data analysis, entering data into a database, and coding of one of many studies that are being conducted in the CCP lab; specifically, data pertaining to Dual Mechanisms of Cognitive Control of twins who partake in a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course.
Monet hopes to find a lab at her home school in the upcoming school year. She looks forward to graduating with a BA in Science and attending medical school. Her hobbies include shopping, listening to music and learning new schools. Her advice to potential participants is “Be open to everything life has to offer and aim for success no matter what.”
