Donavaughn Baucom

Donavaughn Baucom is a biology major at Washington University in St. Louis. From Denver, Colo., Baucom is interested in neurobiological research, specifically neurosarcoma.
In high school, Baucom was a highly-recruited athlete. Like his friends, he experienced frequent injuries, which frustrated him. He decided he wanted to find a way to do something about it. That is when exploring research and medicine became an area of interest.
This summer, he will be working with Dr. Bethany Prudner.
Baucom is a research assistant with Wunder Lab in Denver. He is also involved in City Faces Youth Engagement and became a volunteer with Building Futures and a Juvenile Detention Center. He also enjoys reading, working out and hiking.
